Below, you will find ministries available to our members. Although, new ministries are being birthed as the need arises.
This ministry focuses on ministering to the sick and shut-in through prayer, visits and encouragement. This support occurs in hospitals, homes, and nursing facilities. They also supply Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets to those less fortunate. This ministry also focuses on providing support to men and women incarcerated. This support extends to the incarcerated immediate family.
New Members Ministry
New Members Ministry helps new members become acclimated to the church. The ministry is also responsible for providing classes which serves as an orientation to the church and an introduction to the various ministries at New Emmanuel.
The Music Ministry is the ministry of encouragement and salvation through singing the Word of God. The main function and ultimate goal as a ministry is to lead the congregation in praise and worship, to set the proper atmosphere for the Word of God to come forth and to bless others through the musical gifts that have been given to glorify God.
This ministry encourages and financially supports the youth of New Emmanuel who pursue higher education. Youth who are actively involved in any of our various ministries and wish to pursue higher learner either through college or trade school can receive financial stipends until graduation.
The purpose of the Communications Ministry is to communicate the Gospel and the love of God to the congregation, the local community, the nation, and the world by providing access to information and by utilizing all available communications technology. This ministry includes the newsletter, bulletin, website, television, internet, cd/dvd replicating and computer technology.
Women’s Ministry centers on meeting the spiritual needs of Christian women and helping them to grow in their faith in Jesus Christ. Women are encouraged to accept their responsibility as women of God who will offer themselves as living sacrifices, acceptable and pleasing to God; be devoted to one another in love, honoring one another above themselves and serve God and their church with zeal.
